Bafta Awards 2010
The British Academy Film Awards of 2010 has come to an end. The outright winner at Londons’ Bafta awards was Cameron’s ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow with the film The Hurt Locker.
The film of a US army bomb disposal men in post-invasion Iraq, won six awards including best film, editing, cinematography, director, original screenplay and sound.
On the other hand, Cameron’s Avatar won only two Bafta awards, even though has taken more money at the box office than any other film in the history of cinema.
The best actor award was given to Colin Firth for the film A Single Man and the best actress award to Carey Mulligan for the An Education.
It was a terrible night for Cameron and his Avatar and a huge disappointment for his fans but hopefully he will do the come back in the Oscar Awards of 2010 that will follow soon.
